Hotel Kompass was the perfect place to stay. It was away from the hustle and bustle of Old Town, but also close enough. There was a bus you could catch into Old Town a short stroll away or if you have a car they park it for you for free in the hotel car park. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel to choose from. There is a lovely walk you can do around the waters edge with plenty of openings that you can go down a few stairs and jump into the sea. The staff were so helpful and always super friendly. The rooms were a great size. The breakfast was excellent where you could sit both inside or outside. And the bar upstairs on reception level was a lovely place to have a nightcap. And that view when you first walk into the Hotel, A-mazing!!! Just loved our stay here and will definitely be back!

The hotel was a fabulous new hotel in Lapad. Beautifully presented exterior and interior. We had a sea view room that was fantastic. Lovely outdoor and indoor pools. The staff were all excellent particularly in the bar area and at breakfast - they really made us feel very welcome and looked after. Fresh linen was provided every two days and fresh towels were provided everyday. Also included two spa robes and slippers. Even two chocolates left by the bed each evening which was a nice touch. Good selection at breakfast and first rate service thank you. Great cocktails at the top floor terrace to accompany a beautiful sunset. The hotel is very close to old town but there are plenty of bars and restaraunts in the local area too along with a supermarket in walking distance.

The location was fantastic, the beach was a particular highlight, with crystal clear water, it was a perfect swimming spot. Dubrovnik was a 15 minute drive away, which was perfect for exploring but also made coming back to the hotel feel peaceful and secluded rather than the holiday feeling like a ‘city’ break. The staff were fantastic, particularly housekeeping who came in twice a day and the little goodnight chocolates were a nice touch. The food was also delicious, the menu was expensive but on half board it felt like you got great value for money. Off season it is a buffet for breakfast, with a menu for dinner, off which you could pick a starter, main, and dessert.

We had a wonderful view from our bedroom balcony, as you do from most of the hotel. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The breakfast has a brilliant selection, all was tasty and freshly made. The cocktails are also excellent. The pool has lots of loungers available and, again, a great view. Off-season the pool bar wasn’t open, but the staff doesn’t stop you enjoying a few brought-in drinks. The location was great, it’s in a very nice and quiet part of Dubrovnik. Twas easy to get in/out of Old Town. There are lots of lovely restaurants and bars on the waterside walk (along the ‘cliff’) that I recommend going for a walk and enjoying a few drinks by the water.

The rooms were silent which is great if you want to go to sleep while other people prefer to enjoy late drinks and louder music. Great lobby and bar with the view from the 10th floor for the entire Bay. All very clean, kind and smiling service, place for your car and service to park it and bring it back from the underground garage, good food at the restaurant. Once they were really late and offered us food for free with apologies for their mistake. Small but well equipped gym, SPA with small indoor pool and 2 Saunas, access to the beach with the sunbeds free of cost. Good breakfast.
