Hotel Kompas

The hotel is absolutely stunning, and we couldn't recommend enough getting a room with a sea and pool view, as the views are just beautiful. The facilities within the hotel are fantastic too, with an indoor pool, sauna and steam room, which proved very useful on the last day of our trip when it rained. Only a 13 minute drive from old town, and with a lot of bars and restaurants on its door step, the hotel in ideally located for those looking to explore Dubrovnik's rich history, whilst also availing of some rest and relaxation.

The whole experience staying at Hotel Kompas from start to finish was just easy which is what you want when you go away. The staff were super friendly and couldn't do more to help. The rooms and beds were comfortable and the view from our balcony was stunning. In fact the views surrounding the whole hotel were all lovely. We had breakfast included and there was so much choice. The location was great - lots of restaurants/bars right near the hotel and the Old Town was a short taxi ride away.

The location is amazing and the views spectacular everywhere in the hotel - the room balcony, the bar, the lobby, the restaurant. The room was spacious, modern and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet had a very large selection of freshly cooked food, there's definitely something for everyone. The hotel has its own little bit on the beach, where you don't need to pay to use beach chairs. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Croatia.

Great hotel with brillant views. Hotel is very clean, breakfast options were plentiful and everything tasted great. All staff were very friendly and accommodating. Good gym facilties with good range of equipment. Outdoor pool good size with plenty of loungers and clean towels available for all guests. Live music every night. Bar located on 10th floor offers stunning views of sea and promenade perfect setting to watch the sunset with a cocktail

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights (2 nights with a tour and 3 nights on our own), and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel has an excellent location, with great views of Lapad Bay. A short walk to the right is a wide pebble beach. To the left is a lovely seaside walk, with several spots where you can enter the sea by climbing down a stepladder if you don't want to walk on pebbles. The breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent. We also had a nice a-la-carte dinner at a table right on the water. The service was first-rate throughout our stay. Everyone on the staff (housekeepers, waiters, front-desk employees) was friendly and helpful. Another plus was the live music each night on the hotel patio. All this for a price that I thought was very reasonable.
